Topic: Better midi controller than the KX8?

I was wondering if anybody has any recommendations for a midi controller with a more realistic action than Yamaha's KX8?  I'm looking to play high-end classical pieces (La Campanella, Fantasie Impromptu, Pathetique, etc.) so having a realistic action is really important to me.  I don't care at all about speakers or on-board sounds.  I'm aiming for something less than $2000, but that's not a hard limit.

Thanks to everybody for whatever recommendations you may have!

Re: Better midi controller than the KX8?

Studiologic controllers have a pretty great action.

Also, Kawai MP-8 and MP-10 have real wooden keys, and amazing feel, however they're above your budget ^^'

Hard work and guts!

Re: Better midi controller than the KX8?

Thanks for the feedback.  Do you know if the MP10 is significantly better than the MP6 as a midi controller?

Re: Better midi controller than the KX8?

Regarding MIDI control, they're pretty much similar.

Hard work and guts!

Re: Better midi controller than the KX8?

If you have the cash, and you like the feel, my advice, go for the MP10!

Re: Better midi controller than the KX8?

If you happen to be on the Roland camp, the FP7-F has the PHAIII action, supposedly the same action from the V-Piano. It's well below your budget too, and their SuperNatural piano sound is not bad at all!
