Topic: Sustenuto Pedal via midi in

Hi

As many of you know, I own a Yamaha CP33. It's great for my touch preference, but lacks a sustenuto socket. Is there a way I can use, for example, an FC3 footpedal as a sustenuto pedal through my keyboard's (currently unused) midi in?

Any advice coveted

Thank you

Chris

I like this part:

"or any potentiometer connected to a 1/4" stereo phone plug"

Let us know how it works...

Re: Sustenuto Pedal via midi in

I just did an experiment with pianoteq's Sostenuto pedal and I'll warn you that it's an on/off value, not continuous like the sustain pedal. I assigned my cc pedal (usually used for sustain) to the sostenuto and the results were not good--very erratic. Use a switch pedal not a continuous one (most pedals are switches, so this should be easy).
