Topic: Add-On nightmare

What about a new add-on for pianoteq?  Just a organ...  Not much to worry, right?

Unless the organ have 28000 pipes...

Re: Add-On nightmare

I wonder how much room on my hard drive I'd have to free up to get a sample of this.  :-)

Don't you mean hard drives

Seriously, I've been a "fan" of this organ since I first read about it 3 years ago.  Leave it to a place like Atlantic City to let it rot in (now-named) Boardwalk Hall:

Here's another link to whet your appetites:

"Our developers, who art in Toulouse, hallowed be thy physical-models.
Thy version 4 come, thy new instruments be done, in the computer as it is in the wood!"

Re: Add-On nightmare

I was imagining...
Someone play 4 different instruments at same time, for the same composition.

Let's say a composition to 4 instruments.

Supose someone get digital organ with a complete and large foot controller, and connect to PC. Place the upper keyboar to a digital instrumet, and the lower keyboard to another. Ant the foot controller for 2 other instruments, as it can have more than 2 octaves range.

Organ players are used to play many voices, including the pedals. For 4 instruments at same time, let's say, how the brain could manage that ?

Re: Add-On nightmare

Hello All,

Are you aware of a software product called "Hauptwerk"?

Once the user's license is acquired, you can purchase sampled libraries of world famous (and not so famous) organs, both large and small, both modern and baroque ... and theatre organs.

Here is an example of Yours Truly performing Mozart's Rondo 'alla Turca' on a five manual instrument at the Palace of Arts in Budapest, Hungary.  This piece was transcribed by Arcadia Volodos in the 1990s, and I re-transcribed it to work on the organ.

Here's the URL from youtube.  Enjoy.

Cheers,

Joe

P.S.  The larger instruments require tons of RAM (I have 13GB, and would love to double that amount), because the program streams the samples from the hard drive INTO the RAM before you start.  Then, all of the pipes' sounds are at your fingertips, and the console works exactly as the real one does.

Re: Add-On nightmare

??????????

Why a conspiracy theory lecture about health and suplements have to do with a Organ ?
This small organ was silence the entire conspiracy lecture.

Anyway the reason today they push so suplement's lies and stupid new silly therapies, it's cause people are tired that traditional medicine have just the same old things from 20 years ago or more.
But unfortunately this leads people to be caugh by charlatans.

Hey, I heard vitamina-C increase the chances of get perfect pitch...
Há háaa háaaa....
I have a special high energy vitamin-C stock, for a good price... Who wants to buy.

add some fluorides for shiny teeth, a foot pedal for brain control and a PTQ LOL-modeller (But it has to sound absolutely like the real thing!!) and I'll take it for 1€! (No need to say 100€ sconto if I'll pay cash)

P.S.
If PTQ does an 28000 Pipe addon it should be tunable pipe per pipe, and detune automatically every 28 days.

As it happens, the Hauptwerk software does allow individual per-pipe tuning, except that the tuning stays put regardless of temperature or humidity fluctuations.

It does seem like a natural progression. I don't know much about organs though. Don't you have to pump air into them?

Re: Add-On nightmare

I want to see a someone create such miracle easy interfarface to manage adjusts to 2800 pipes.

Háaaa háaaaaa...

In our moderne age the ir pump by compressors.
In past giant human assisted devices, I don't konw the name in english, was used to compress air.
