Topic: v3.6.1 is asking for activation?

Hi there,
I have been away from PTQ for awhile, I just transferred and installed v3.6.1 to my offline audio laptop. I initially installed PTQ to this same machine and updated as far as v2.3, in my online profile this is shown as:

hardware name: -unknown-
last activation:    03/01/2008   
version: 2.1.0/20070727

v3.6.1 is asking me to "activate". This being the same machine, isn't that moving towards using the second of my 3 activation slots?

I opened v2.3 and went to "help > about" to see about updating my license, that option is not showing. I can see it when clicking help >about in v3.6, but it asks me to activate first.

I downloaded the code for activation, just wondering how to proceed without triggering a second hardware usage.

Also, I would like to name this computer in my Pianoteq online profile, and also rename the actual machine in "my computer > properties".

Sorry if this is covered somewhere, I was not able to find it. Thanks for any info,

Hi Matt,

No need to worry, just proceed with the activation of 3.6.3 (I suggest that you download this version instead of 3.6.1 !), since you are using the same computer it won't be counted as a new activation, and you will be able to use version 2.3 and 3.6.3 at the same time. The computer name in your profile will be updated when you will retrieve the activation key of version 3.6.3 .
