Topic: Pianoteq for iPhone - Would be good !!

I just got the  Line 6 Midi Mobilizer for my iPhone. I have used with my Roland Juno Di, and it works great.

Why not make a version of Pianoteq for the iPhone, so that it could be controlled from an external MIDI keyboard, using the Line 6 Midi Mobilizer ?

That would make the ultimate portable piano :-)

Or the iPad?

Apps have to be recoded for iOS.  The iPad is powered by Apple’s proprietary 1GHz Apple A4 chip.  It sounds novel but surely we'd rather have the pianoteqnicians improving the existing software rather than making a cheesy version for an underpowered device.  Wait, what's this ?

"What's this?"

Hopefully just a good joke.

I don't know about that, I'm not a programmer but I know that iPhone OS is a cut down version of OSX, it may not take that much work to port from one to the other and I've had PTQ running pretty well on a 1.25GHz G4 which probably isn't much more powerful than an iPad.

I think PTQ on iPad would be pretty cool, Korg clearly thought it was worthwhile! Korg iElectribe

And that's how rumors get started.
