Topic: High-def midi? Does it record more minute pitch variations, too?
I haven't found much information about "high definition midi" (Midi 2). There doesn't seem to be an official protocol yet.
I did see this diagram at the zenph site:

Looking for any information at all really, but I'm most curious about what it does to pitch data. As in--does it have the ability to calculate pitch wheel data in smaller increments and adjust the tuning of each note?
(The zenph system seems to "correct" the pitch of piano recordings, according to their site, and that seems worrisome--what if you want an out of tune piano sound or an older temperament? Trying to learn more about that too...)
