Topic: Pianoteq Compressed and EQed
Hi folks,
Pianoteq is a real killer when you either don't have the budget for a grand piano or the space (eg in a small project/home studio).
I'm using PT both in the studio and live (more live at the moment).
When I'm running PT live, I'm using my MacBook Pro with a Firewire Interface and ProTools M-Powered. I'm not running PT standalone because so I can also use all my Plugins in ProTools which I use in the studio as well.
So mostly the first thing is a 10-Band EQ for equalization followed by an API EQ emulation and an API Compressor emulation (all Waves, in my opinion one of the best emulations out there! except URS)
So my question, what kind of EQs and compressors are you using in your setup? (Studio and/or live)
Are you mostly using the in-built reverb or are you using other stuff?
Today I've tried a convolution reverb which is called SIR 2....very good stuff!
so thanks for answers...
best regards
Stefan
