Topic: Off-topic: image organizers (topic closed)

Please forgive me for the subject not about pianoteq.  I hope Modartt don't mind for temporary topic.

This forum have so many intelligent educated nice fellows, than I imagine someone perhaps have the answers to my question.

Well, I'm looking for a way to organize files, create a databank for images and textures, more easy and sophisticated than a mere thumbnail browser.

I imagine something like search tags. Give for a image or texture several tags in priority order, and for searching we would type the tags refered to what we look for.

Who knows a simple software to allow such organization ?

For organizing and developing digital photos, I use Lightroom (by Adobe).  It is probably one of the best there is - available for both Mac and PC platforms.

Thank you Glenn.

But it's probably expensive, as a Adobe aplication.

I only need a data bank system to allow give several tags, in priority levels, to search based in those tags.
Priority levels ability it's important as each image will have several classification tags.

It's for several, hundreds, of small images, textures.

Beto:

I can't recall what I paid for Lightroom, but it will do what you want, and will do it well - in addition to being a pretty good editor (I don't use Photoshop Elements much any more now that I have Lightoom).

ACDSee does image management and has a good reputation:

I am not sure whether it does exactly what you want though.

Greg.
