Topic: Three manuals into one or two - MIDI channel switch Query

Is this possible without using the couplers? Using just one keyboard (the Great) is it possible, with a single button, to make it play as either the Swell or the Choir without sounding what is already set on the Great. When I get my two-manual organ, can I make the top keyboard play as either the Swell or the Choir without cancelling registrations of either. I appreciate this is probably a MIDI channel change, so it might be impossible. What do you do when you don't have enough keyboards? I do love Organteq!

I don’t think it’s possible when using the standalone version unless you have a physical device/button that can send some sort of message to organteq.

I’m in the same position using a dual manual keyboard. I load Organteq as a VST plugin into my DAW. You can use midi channels and routing and a midi mappable controller.

Couplers are also great

Thanks TimB3. I have spare buttons on the keyboard that can send MIDI signals, but because the whole keyboard is communicating via just one channel, I doubt that it can change its own channel. I thought maybe a Stream Deck might be able to instigate a channel swap. I'm new to this and stuck with a single keyboard for a few more months, and was hoping someone might tell me something really obvious that I have missed.
