Maybe I can answer this. I'm trying a Korg D1 at the moment and Declanomad's velocity curve works well with the default linear map Nr. 2 of the D1. So I'm convinced Declanomad used that normal combination.
Side notes:
* In https://forum.modartt.com/viewtopic.php?id=13164 I had the hypothesis, that center MIDI value 64 has a relation to 1G (earth acceleration), which can be simulated with a weight of >= 500 g at the end of a white key. On my new Korg D1 I applied this test with 500 g at MIDI note #60 (C4 in Pianoteq) and got an average MIDI-output of 70.4 (STDEV=1.0 after 10 times).
Declanomad's iteration is near this value, he maps MIDI 69 to 65:
* I haven't spent time in my (damper) pedal curve so far, so it is interesting to see your mapping. The pedal Korg DS-1H is known for sending four discrete MIDI-values together with the Korg D1 (0, 38, 74, 127). Obviously you remapped value 38 to a lower and 74 to a higher value. Will try that.
* Like some other manufacturers the Korg D1 does not make use of the full velocity range of 0-127. It seems my example D1 is controllable playable around 25-100. Thanks to PTQ's velocity mapper this can be expanded/mapped to a useful response.
