Topic: Pianoteq 9 Mac System Requirements?

I couldn't find the specs on the product page so figured it was faster to simply download the trial and find out if my Mac OSX 10.12 Sierra was still supported...

Unfortunately the installer has the dreaded NO SMOKING symbol on top of it, so I cannot install it.

And yet, when I asked the AI in my browser what the specs are it responded: "Pianoteq 9 requires macOS 10.12 or later..."

So according to my browser AI, this should have worked for me. What are the REAL system requirements, please?

It's been a week, and this post has had 168 views without a response...

Are there any Modartt people in the house?

It seems it's 10.13 and higher, according to the FAQ section.

Many thanks!!

I actually have 10.13 on my laptop, so I will install it on there to confirm this and play around with it a little until I can upgrade my desktop.

Re: Pianoteq 9 Mac System Requirements?

I successfully installed the Pianoteq 9 Trial onto 10.13 on my laptop.

Unfortunately, the trial version does not include the PRO version option which is what I have, so I could not play a MIDI file. And since the trial version has to be replaced by the licensed version anyway, I just uninstalled it.

I will have to wait until I upgrade my desktop computer.

Fortunately, Pianoteq 8 is still nothing to complain about. I use it daily and won't really feel much pain unless Modartt releases a new piano that I really want which requires Pianoteq 9.
