Topic: Heinrich Isaac (1450-1517): „Herr Gott, lass dich erbarmen” PIANOTEQ

Heinrich Isaac, known as Arrigo il Tedesco, also known as Ysaac, Ysaak, Henricus, and Arrigo d'Ugo, was a Flemish composer of the Renaissance. He is known for his profound influence on the development of music in Germany. He was born in Flanders but spent most of his life in Italy.
"Herr Gott, lass dich erbarmen" ("Lord God, have mercy") is a German Renaissance hymn (often associated with the melody "O Welt, ich muss dich lassen" or "Innsbruck, ich muss dich lassen"). It was first published as a choral piece by the Franco-Flemish composer Heinrich Isaac; the melody was likely written by him.
