Topic: Louis Couperin: „Allemande in ré mineur” form Bauyn Manuscript

Louis Couperin (born c. 1626 – died 29 August 1661) was a distinguished French composer, organist, and harpsichordist of the early Baroque period. He was the uncle of the more famous François Couperin. He was renowned as a composer of delicate works for the harpsichord and a master of an irregular, free-form playing style. He was born in Chaumes-en-Brie. He came to Paris around 1650–1651, where he served as organist at the Church of St. Gervais. He died young at the age of 35.

An interesting piece by Couperin, performed very beautifully and at a good tempo for an allemande.
