Topic: The Summer Knows (Pianoteq)

things are still rather crazy in real life, which makes it hard to participate in the forum as much as i'd like to.  but i still want to share a recent video, a solo take on Michel Legrand's "The Summer Knows."  this version is not done as a slow ballad, like the tune is usually treated, but more uptempo.  i hope you like it

Hi Budo! Yeah I really like this up-tempo version of this song. Cool how you, in a couple of sections, reverted back to probably close to the original or more familiar tempo. I really like this version. It's a great listen!!

What a refreshing take on a Michel Legrand classic!
Most people drag this tune out, so hearing it with this forward momentum and brighter tempo is a real breath of fresh air. The harmonic voice-leading is top-tier as always. Take care with real-life stuff, and thanks for another great arrangement!

There are so many slow versions of this song, but yours is unique!
Amazing performance and arrangement. It’s great that you made a version like this. Uplifting, feel - good music.
I always listening to your endings and now I have been listening how you work with left hand too. Beautiful left hand work - It sort of slips into the right spot so easily and neatly.
And the last 30 seconds - beautiful ending!

Thank you so much budo!

Best wishes,

Stig
