Topic: Kawai with Strings Pad

Greetings,

I'm a total noob to a Pianoteq, so don't beat me hard for a silly question. )
I love Kawai with strings a lot, however I have few measures where I would like to pull strings down. Is it possible to apply automation to String Pad moving its level down and then back? (I guess on a track level). If it's possible, then how?

Thanks in advance.

The Kawai SK-EX with strings pad is a layer instrument. You can control % of each instrument independently via midi CC messages . double click on the Layer tab menu Top Right when the preset is loaded, then you will see the 2 layers , top one being the piano , right click on the second layer ,there is a midi button that will allow to assign a midi CC event to control the % , so you can suppress the pad using a knob or slider in a midi controller.

Thank you!
Not available for me (Stage), but thank you anyway. I will keep this knowledge for better times. )

Here is what I created. I like the sound of a piano, I love strings pad. The only one thing bothers me - it sound like to much resonance/humm?
I tried to reduce sustain pedal, but then arpeggio sounds not smooth but as synthezator arrpegiator. Please advise what is it and how to cure it.

Hello Anatolly, and thank you very much for a truly beautiful piece of music.

I listened to it several times. Since you have the "Stage" version, you likely lack the options to tweak the sound exactly the way you want it. I love the Kawai Strings Pad and often want to hear more of the "strings." Here is an example—using the "Pro" version—with own adjustments to bring out more of that string sound for relaxing, dreamy music.

I hope you upload more music to the other side, "Recordings featuring Pianoteq and Organteq." That’s where we can discuss and listen to people's music.
