Topic: Blues For Wood (Pianoteq)

since i was out of town i didn't get to share a track from last week, Woody Shaw's "Blues for Wood."  this is pretty much an F blues, although there are some nice substitutions that Woody used to to give it his imprimatur.  i'm a big fan of his playing and music.

Good playing as always,

Solo 1st and 2nd chorus very nice
5th bigger very nice captivating
7th nice with the high notes
good ending - like a surprise with those sudden ending chords

”pretty much an F blues”   yes, good music
            BUT
I liked the Pee Wee more.
It seems like more is happening and I am drawn into the pleasure. The chords and your performance enchant me, I enjoyed that piece 110%.

I always enjoy your music but of course there are differences where you like one song a little more than another.

Waiting with enthusiasm and excitement for next upload

Best wishes,

Stig

thank you again Stig for listening and your comments!  yes this is quite different from Pee Wee.  it doesn't feel like it could be a classical piece at all, whereas maybe Pee Wee has some kind of relation to solo piano music like Scriabin, Ravel, ... perhaps that is a factor.  i totally understand where you're coming from
