Topic: Touch Screen Sound different to sound with midi-usb cable

Very Important !

Why when i touch the keyboard on the touch screen the sound is more detailed, brillant, realistic rather than in playing normally on keyboard ? (with cable usb B-A on Kawai CA901)

the sound is much more muffled !

all velocities are concerned !   

everything is more real on touch screen !


is Very Very Important, this means that there is a downgrade in sound quality for everyone !

by comparing several cables usb B-A i hear subtle sound differences while the values sent are the same normally !

but never so good as on the touchscreen !

If you record your keyboard playing as MIDI in the pianoteq app, does a later playback sound better, or also muffled? What hardware do you use along your audio output chain?

It's very difficult to control the velocity when playing on the touchscreen (it depend of where you tap on the key). How do you compare those velocities to those when playing on a keyboard?

je répond en français, désolé...

j'ai comparé trop rapidement avec un enregistrement, je crois qu'en lançant l'enregistrement c'était plus précis que quand je jouais, mais je ne sais si c'était au même niveau qu'en appuyant sur le clavier à l'écran

mais j'ai avancé:

(ça ne sert à rien non plus de connaître mon matériel)

en mettant quelque chose comme ça (c'est l'ancienne version que j'ai):  https://www.amazon.fr/AudioQuest-Jitter...;hvexpln=0     

je met le nom ici:    AudioQuest - Jitterbug FMJ USB Data & Power Noise Filter

ça améliore le son !   toujours pas au niveau de l'écran tactile, mais déjà bien mieux !

donc le midi est très important, on est bien d'accord que j'ai rajouté ça au bout du câble midi ! c'est certainement à cause d'une histoire électrique, car une valeur midi reste la même qu'elle soit joué normalement ou sur l'écran tactile

ça doit induire une impulsion électrique à l'ordinateur qui perturbe le son !

vous prenez ou pas, moi j'ai trouvé !

selon la qualité du câble usb A B ça joue aussi !

le son est plus clair, plus défini !

mon post va certainement finir dans les oubliettes, c'est bien dommage...   

tant pis pour vous

Yeah, I thought it may have been the midi input signal interfering with the outgoing audio, this happens a lot on my apple devices. Switching to MIDI bluetooth helped me.
