Topic: Just The Way You Are (Pianoteq)

here's a tune i was surprised to find in one of the standard fakebooks, Billy Joel's Just The Way You Are.  there are some rock tunes in these books, but for some reason this one seems unusual to me.  it was famously covered by the great piano player Makoto Ozone, but that was long after the book was compiled.  anyway, it's a lovely melody and chord progression to work with.

Fantastic performance on this wonderful Billi Joel song!
I'd never heard the Jazz version, but damn it! Even better than the original! Your fingers really glide over silk!
Bravo, BUDO!!!!!

What a wonderful version of this song! Thank you budo! Reading carmelo and Borealis comments I can only add - You budo deserve every bit of  admiration! What a wonderful gift you have. Now we can say as in the song - we ”love you just the way you are”! You are a man worthy of respect for your playing, your achievements.

Best wishes,

Stig

edit.   I have the Cd:s and love the piece" My life" much. Was always playing the piece  in my cd player in the car at that time...

thank you so much Borealis!  i haven't heard his classical stuff, but i do know that he is a fantastic pianist with tons of chops.  i think he would be too intimidating
