Topic: Vst3 program Changes pianoteq 7

Hello,

I’m using pianoteq 7.5.4 and midi program changes do not work when using vst3 version (it seems like the messages aren’t delivered) - but it works on vst2.

I’m using reaper on a M1 MacBook Air.

Is this issue fixed in pianoteq 8? Other vst3 plugins work with midi program changes.

Best regards,
Johannes

Program Changes can be really problematic with VST3 unfortunately. Hopefully Modartt can figure it out - it's been an issue for many other plugin developers too.

Hard work and guts!

Not that it's going to help immediately (or anyone staying on old versions) but let's hope Modartt jump on the CLAP format bandwagon.

@EvilDragon so I guess you also know about this thread https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=251104

So it seems there is something needed to be done on plugins side to deal with this issue. I might try to use the trial version of pianoteq 8 to see if it works better there.

I can report that it also happens with the trial version of 8.0.5.

Now even more pressing as with V9 there seems to be no VST2 version any more .....

Now we are @Pianoteq 9 and Reaper 7.59. Seems like the compatibility issue still in place.
As it works nicely with the Kontakt, VST3 on Reaper (see -> https://forum.modartt.com/viewtopic.php...p1006432), it's likely that something on the plugin site needs to be done.
