Topic: Sweet Henry (Pianoteq)

here's a solo piano cover of one of the oddities from the book, "Sweet Henry" by Steve Swallow and Jack Gregg.  it originally appeared on Hotel Hello, an album probably most never heard of outside of the book, although i got lucky and found it in the bargain bin (alongside a lot of other obscure ECM albums) in a small town while travelling.  it's great fun to play!

WoW! What can I say this time? It's clear that you enjoy playing this piece. And I thank you for all the descriptions about the pieces. Interesting reading that you found this in a small town while travelling. :)
Thank you budo for all your music.
And good ending as always.

Have to say I was thinking about you, how would budo end this piece, when I was recording my piece ”Kind of Space Ambient”.Listen to the piece and those last tones 5,16 - 5,25. Thinking of your endings and this came up - simple but good.

In Swedish we say ”One learns as long as one lives” but now I can say ”One learns as long as one have good music friends in the Modartt forum”

Best wishes,

Stig

thank you so much Stig for listening and i'm glad you liked it.  indeed i was very shocked to find this and many other obscure jazz records from ECM in the bargain bin in the small town record store.  i think they only had one traffic light in the town.  i guess no one knew what to make of these obscure European records
