Topic: Version 9 is good, crazy dynamics.

A bit late to the show, just upgraded yesterday. I'm a Pianoteq user since about 2014. Loved it from the first try. However every version upgrade was kind of a problem to me. While it should and was actually an improvement, the fact that it was always "different" from a previous version that I got very used to, was a bit of problem, the very difference perceived as being worse. Anyway I always upgrade "just because", and next time the story repeated. This is the first time I enjoyed the upgrade right from the start. The thing I notice most: crazy dynamics. When I first discovered Pianoteq I was setting the dynamics slider to 100% which gave me an amazing dynamic control, while sounding kind of unrealistic, unfortunately. Later I started lowering it, and eventually just leave it as preset default, just because it is actually closer to a real pianos that I play. After installing v.9 I was catching myself checking for the dynamics slider after every preset switch, I could swear that developers changed it significantly. Surprisingly it was more or less at the same position as it used to be. It's absolutely obvious to me that something dynamics related was changed "under the hood", it feels like, maybe not 100% position, but, at least 70, I would say. Love it. Soft-loud separation is obviously much appreciated. "Sound" seems to be more "interesting" although I use a bit of "unorthodox" settings for output stage, mono, single mic, specific reverb from the outside plugin, lo-fi sound system, so can't fully contribute. But very obvious dynamics separation across presets is something!
