Topic: New Bach Video - Invention n 9 in F minor BWV 780

Dear Friends,

Invention No. IX is described as "mild and composed" , as "tender", as being "full of impassioned strains of sadness, which rise to a great intensity of effect in bars 21 to 26". Bodky comments: "It is this [pathos and declamation] which must have caused Bach to distinguish the Invention in f minor with so many slurs for articulation".

Thank you carmelo, to me, a soothing performance. Beautiful.
It is short, but I think it would be very hard for me…..because……well, Bach wrote it.
Anyway, you Carmelo are the best. You are my idol in this genre.

It's truly a very intimate piece by the Leipzig Kantor.
It's challenging, but not difficult, and above all, it's very useful for hand training.
I've already prepared my piece; I was hesitant until the end, but I've chosen. I hope you like it: it's a piece that perfectly represents Bach's character for me... I'll post it this week.

That’s wonderful. Inventions are sometimes thought of as practice pieces for children, but listening to a performance like this truly convinces me that they are unquestionably great works of art. I’m really looking forward to your new journey.

Until two years ago, I was unaware of the existence of this and many other pieces. Unfortunately, you can't study everything as a young person, and you always move on to something more technically challenging, missing out on pieces like this that truly have their own dignity...
Fortunately, as an "older person," you have more time and less pressure, and you can fully appreciate them.
