Topic: How much does the hardware influence the sound of Pianoteq?

Is it possible that Pianoteq 9 doesn't sound quite right on an Intel i3 CPU with 8GB of RAM? There's a big difference in sound compared to the demo videos.

Not really - but check the bitrates in the option screen. I have found that I want at least 96kHz for the external bit rate. The internal bitrate is less crucial but there will be a notable difference in the smoothness of (especially) high-frequency noise at lower rates.

It's more likely that it's something unrelated to computer performance, e.g. your Velocity Curve configuration might need tweaking.

Using the same sound card and settings, the sound should be exactly the same.
