I like differents sound in Pianoteq, and there is a "warm" preset for the Mistral Petrof and Ant. Petrof, the wonderfull Steingraber but not with the C. Bechstein DG, and i wonder if it's possible to know what to change in the simple "Bechstein DG 282" preset to get the "warm" preset?

Suggestion would to load Mistral in A , Mistral Warm in B and so A/B comparison by right clicking on A/B to obtain the list of parameters that are different in the two presets . Do the same for the Ant Petroff and then try to apply the same logic by adjusting the adequate parameters for the Beichstein .

This action show me the list of wich setting are différent, but not what kind of difference,
i have:
- Damper noise
- Key release noise
- Diatonic more
- Mallet bounce
- Equalizer
- Effect 1
- Effect 2
- Effect 3
- Attack
etc.
And a strange "- Instrument condition"
And a lot of other differences.
Don't see how i can know the differences.
I will try to copy all the différences in a Bechstein preset.
It works!
Between Steingraeber "Warm" (my favorite for now) and Bechstein "modified", there is only 3 différences now!
- Instrument
- Pedal assignments
- Metadata (preset comment etc)

Well , at least you tried . It is also possible that Modartt tunes some internal parameters not accessible to users as the parameters accessible to the users is only a subset of all parameters influencing the sound and the model.

Maybe morph or layer it with the other Bechstein models. Like Sombre or Felt1.
I understand that programming a certain patch of an instrument (and each model of pianoteq is a different one) is something experimental, it is done and fixed according to audible results, then taking parameter changes from one to another will produce more or less unexpected results, and if it works it will be a bit by chance. If it were just to bring blind changes from one model to another, the same variants would already be programmed in all of them. On the other hand, there is the sense of the fxp corner, sharing and showing off the result of such meticulous work, which involves our cochlea, the bones of the inner ear, the brain..., ah and also our personal taste both sound and musical.

I gave up on the idea of having the "Warm" setting for the Bechstein, but I went to the "FXP Corner" and downloaded ALL the FXP files for which I have a piano.
Just to make my search at least somewhat fruitful.
hey, I just uploaded an attempt to the FXP corner, "C. Bechstein DG Warmed Up". see if it suits you. it´s a PTQ9 preset.
A good starting point for the warm presets are the Bechstein Recording 1 and 2.
it still has a bit of that Boxy, mid congested, sound that is hard to EQ away and, IMO, that´s the plague of most roll-your-own presets - not that I´ve listened all of them .
Most of the times I find that most mics have rather small sweet spots and happy accidents are not that common to come by - but please enlighten me here (sincerely).
The stock presets in PTQ are usually (again IMO, and not always) a step above in that regard, which is to be expected as the Modartt guys know the guts of the software and tailor the presets accordingly.
Anyway, I´ve went on a tangent here. Sorry about that.
