Topic: Questions before I pull the trigger
Hi all,
I assume the Black Friday discount is coming so I'm ready to purchase Pianoteq 2 but I love classical organ music too (mostly J.S. Bach and Johann Pachelbel's works) so I'm thinking about buying Organteq 2 too. I'm an intermediate piano player and haven't learned organ playing at all, but I used to own an old Yamaha Electone so know some basic playing on the foot pedals.
What I have right now is a normal digital piano with both USB-MIDI output and traditional MIDI IN/OUT ports. My PC is an Intel i7 14700K + 96GB RAM machine with Windows 11 Pro system, which I guess is pretty powerful to handle the software.
Stupid questions if you don't mind:
(1) I'm 99% sure that Pianoteq 2 will work with my setup, but will Organteq 2 work as well, even if I don't have a MIDI pedalboard now?
(2) If I would like to buy a MIDI pedalboard with at least 2 octaves for learning and playing classical church organ pieces, what would you recommend? I did some research and found that these products are quite expensive, and it seems like there are different designs too and not all of them are suitable for toe/heel techniques used in classical pieces.
(3) How should I connect the MIDI pedalboard to my digital piano and the PC when using Organteq 2?
Any input is appreciated.
