Topic: Hold Out Your Hand (Pianoteq)

here's a much more obscure tune from the book, Steve Kuhn's "The Drinking Song" aka "Hold Out Your Hand." i think Steve Kuhn occupied an honored spot in the minds of the book's compilers, since quite a few of his tunes show up in there.  this was always one of my favorite tunes of his.

here's the original recording that (i think) the authors of the book used ... could be wrong though.

Dear Budo,
Frankly speaking I didn't know this piece  but your improvisation on it is great ! Your version is my favorite for its pressing rhythm , interesting melody, harmony, and structure.

I agree with carmelo, he summarizes everything. But,  I can't help but comment on the ending, of course.
After the nice flow, an abrupt, sudden, unexspected ending is perfect in this piece - Bravo budo!
Thank you budo for always playing interesting pieces.

Best wishes,

Stig

thank you so much Carmelo!  i'm glad you enjoyed it but for full disclosure Steve Kuhn is one of the all time greats this was a somewhat weird time in his output.
