Topic: Binaural output in Pianoteq

I'm playing mostly with a headphone and always set the output to "binaural" in Pianoteq 8. It seems that this option is missing in Pianoteq 9's demo,. How must I proceed?

I have four pianos in my collection so far (Bosendorfer, Kawai, Steinway D, and Steinway B). All of them have a binaural preset. If that one works for you, that would be one option. If what you're looking for doesn't have the preset that you want, perhaps have a look at where the microphones are placed in those binaural presets and see if you can mimic that type of sound in whatever you're trying to use. (?)

Sorry I don't have a better answer. And if I'm way out in fantasyland on that, hopefully someone will be along with a better answer soon.

Best of luck! Hope you figure out something that works well for you.

Like Bellyman wrote,  what you can do is select any binaural preset, go the mic section;  in the mic drop down menu , save the mic preset and call it Binaural. Now launch any instrument preset and when you want to listen to it in binaural mode, select the binaural preset that now appears in the drop down menu of the mics & mix section.

Try clicking with middle mouse (scroll) or right click it over the Mic channel in the mixer. A long menu should pop up and down there should be Binaural which will leave only two mic channels in the mixer panned hard left and hard right, and a headphones will appear in the space visualizer.
