Topic: Lover Man (Pianoteq)

here's one of the great jazz standards, "Lover Man."  probably there must be hundreds of recordings of it out there ... i would find it hard to pick a favorite.  such a beautiful ballad.  i'm not sure where i heard the reharmonization of the first part of the melody but i'm sure someone else did it first ...

Wow! Wonderful beginning, so dreamily beautiful, after about 3.50 you start to wake up, from 6.00 the music develops so smoothly into an eventful experience slowly up slowly down, the volume and speed increase... 7.48 Forte, I love it, And the nice ending, it didn't end it didn't end....and then ending softly. Thank you so much budo. Beautiful way of ending especially this piece!
This song comes high up on my list of "budo's best"
Thank you budo! Well done!

Best wishes,

Stig

btw you liked my old antique Roland G-600 workstation - here is another (you probably missed), Classical Guitar Electrified

Fantastic Budo performance!
I don't know this piece even though you tell me it's very well-known, and I must say your playing convinced me from start to finish!
I truly envy your ability to vary and enrich these standards with improvisations; I honestly wouldn't know where to start.
Bravo!!!!

thank you so much Stig for your listening and comments.  i'm glad that you consider this to be one of my best recordings.  that means a lot to me.

and somehow i did miss the Londonderry air arrangement, but it's a lot of fun!  great that you were able to use an arrangement from 30 years ago with Pianoteq of today!
