Topic: headphone spacial 7.1 audio for pipewire

With this, one can hear virtual 7.1 surround sound using pipewire audio and heaphones. This is better explained in the link below. I did not have time to do any sort of proper testing but using this its possible to route specific mike outputs from Pianoteq to a virtual speaker position. I.E. one can use the five outputs in Pianoteq and route each to a virtual speaker which can be heard via headphones. I can't say if there is improvement to Pianoteq sound but the link below links to examples using Dolby Atmos and seems to work well for this. Warning: the Atmos demo has a high dynamic range and can get very loud.

Edit: A bit more testing... It seems you can route the outputs but not the positioning. The sound most likely needs to be re-encoded so it shouldn't really do much for the sound that can't already be done although it might be easier to center the audio from a particular mike. If the positioning could be made to work, that could be useful. Maybe Modart can tinker with this idea.
