Härlig är jorden (like "Glorious is the earth") is a hymn that is known throughout the Nordic countries.
It was written by Bernhard Sevrin Ingemann (1789–1862), one of Denmark's foremost hymn writers. One August evening in 1850, Ingemann first heard the song that inspired the song.
A friend of the family was visiting and played and sang the song "Schönster Herr Jesu, Herrscher aller Enden".
The song has traditionally been considered a crusader song, but it is probably a processional song that has been used by the Catholic Church on the feast of Corpus Christi. Ingemann's friend suggested that Ingemann write a Danish text with a pilgrimage motif.
The song is now sung every Christmas in Finland too, in both Swedish and Finnish.

Again, Organteq 2 as a Historical organ, physically modelled! Incredible! I like it.
