Topic: New Bach video Invention n 1 in C maj BWV 772

Dear Friends,

After our journey to discover the WTC1, which I will soon collect in a single post, recorded with Pianoteq a magnificent instrument!
I'm starting to list some "lighter" but no less beautiful pieces that everyone studied at least once in their youth.
Bach's 2-part Inventions; I use a Bosendorfer 280 VC for these inventions.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed studying and playing them again.
Of all fifteen the Invention No 1 has the most reserved and dispassionate character, and even the theme is somewhat conventional, only revealing its importance by degrees.

A beautiful prrformsnce, I liked watching and listening. And good tempo, I don’t like the versions where people are running fast when playing this one. I like your version, played clearly and uninterupted. A conversation between the two hands, nice.

Thank you so much for your comment, Stig!
Even though they're short pieces, designed for students just starting out with counterpoint and vocal balance, they're true musical gems.
It was a lot of fun studying them again.

It was also moving for me to reread, after so many years, these pieces that in the last century seemed difficult and demanding to me... How far we have come....
