Topic: The Streicher in the 8.2 Engine

I don't know if the Streicher was modified for version 8.2, but it certainly sounds good for a "home piano" sound in the 8.2 engine. This is the Streicher Close Mic preset with the soundboard impedance and cutoff raised slightly, and the Condition slider at 70:

The Buzzard Blues is the MIDI file.

Re: The Streicher in the 8.2 Engine

My understanding is that only the modern grand pianos have been revoiced on the recent update. But this sounds great!

A lot of the magic is coming from that condition slider. For a bit of extra mojo, select a slightly unequal temperament such as Ellis EB. I've added this preset to my favourites - thanks, Jake!

I have just found your FXP and the great mp3-file. Thanks a lot!
However, I just wonder if the _MIDI_ file is available for download anywhere?
Would it be possible to provide a link?

Here is the MIDI file for Buzzard Blues:  https://forum.modartt.com/uploads.php?f...0Blues.mid

I tried to find out who originally recorded it as MIDI, but have not been able to do so. It seems that several of the old MIDI sites have vanished, or are harder to find. In any case, the performance is of course under copyright. If I can find who recorded it, I will post here. If anyone else finds the information, please post it here.

Re: The Streicher in the 8.2 Engine

Thanks a lot! Indeed, there is no obvious origin. The meta data only shows that it was recorded with the beta version of Pianoteq 4, so it was probably made 10+ years ago. However, I did not want to use it in any commercial way. I just considered playing it myself (...as far as possible for me...).
