here's one of the great ballads of all time, another genius tune from the Gershwins. i've always loved this tune. there were a few changes here and there, hopefully not too heretical

Very enjoyable long ending that you think ends at 6.20 - but which continues delightfully slower and diminishing and ends beautifully 6,59.

And there are several short sections with their own “climax parts” in this improvisation. Well done!
This song brings back nice memories from the 80s. Linda Ronstadt sang it and another song called What's New. I love those songs, she was a fantastic singer. I bought the LP back in 1984. She's about my age now but can't sing anymore, she has Parkinson’s.
I think I have about 300 of those big LP’s left, different kind of music.

I really like the ballad style you used. Frankly, I don't know the piece, so I can't judge it because I have no comparisons. But I really like it. It's fresh, and although energetic, it retains a disarming lightness.

thank you so much Stig. i actually am also a fan of the song What's New and hope to do it at some point. i also always have enjoyed her music but i didn't know that she had covered this. i'm glad you liked the ending

thank you so much Carmelo. it is just usually done more like a typical jazz ballad. here is a recording by one of all time greats Keith Jarrett (who also recorded WTC btw )

Really Nice Keith Jarrett on Jazz... on WTC He seems a little stuck to me, not comfortable with a style different from his own...
he is really one of the greats of all time at jazz. really an exceptionally influential performer (and one of my personal favorites). but that said, i have to admit that i am not the biggest fan of his classical recordings. personally i would rather hear someone who specializes in that kind of music perform!
