Topic: Chopin Nocturne No.1 Op.9-1 Shigeru Kawai SK-EX

I wonder if Chopin's music is too popular to share here. But I really enjoy playing Chopin on both modern pianos and historical fortepianos. So I thought I might share one of my Chopin performances.

Thank you Triton for such a captivating performance. The music and your playing evoke emotions in me - I remember my son who died 7 seven years ago, only 45 years old, cancer. Listening to your playing I feel sadness but also happiness and calm, remembering good time we had together. This is what music is supposed to do, music is doing its work properly. Thank you so much Triton for playing this piece - I float away along with your notes….a nice moment.

Was looking at your YT site and found much beautiful music, much of Bach vtc and listened. Thank you Triton, your collection there is a little gold mine.

The true beauty of music is that it connects people. It carries a message and we the musicians, are the messengers.

You said you like playing on Erard. I'm glad to hear that. I have recordings with Erard too.

When I play a piece, I often feel as if I’m being taken to another world—not my own, but a world that belongs to the music itself. 
I’m constantly struggling with the limitations of my technique, but I try my best to express that world through sound.
 When I feel that I’ve managed to do so, even just a little, it makes me truly happy.
Reading your comment made me feel that perhaps I was able to share that world with you—and that brought me joy.

So you visited my YouTube channel, thank you. I originally started it as a way to document my practice after returning to the piano, so many of the earlier videos aren’t very satisfying to me.
But lately, I’ve started to feel that some of my performances are becoming... at least somewhat okay.

Thank you so much for sharing your Amazing Grace. 
It’s such a tender and heartfelt performance. I truly appreciate it.

personally i think Chopin is always welcome!  i just wish i could play it myself.  this is a really beautiful performance, somehow i never studied piece back in the day.  really a gem.

This piece is probably played by many people who learn the piano.
I played it myself in childhood, but I don’t remember how I played it.
Now, playing it again for the first time in decades, and thought to myself, yes — it's really a gem.
