Topic: Bluethner Model One for cover version of "Rock Me On The Water"

Hi there,


Here is my home recording of "Rock Me On The Water" by the great Jackson Browne,
one of my very favourite piano-driven pop/rock songs.

My piano part is close to the original as performed on the 1972 recording by Craig Doerge.

The piano track is edited and mixed quite heavily, but the basic sound is PT 8 Bluethner Model One.

I've been allmost obsessed with this iconic song, have been playing it for years and wanted to create
a high-quality rendition of my own, trying to kind of modernize its original 70ies-sound.

The  Hammond organ coda theme is taken from the classic "Moanin' "  by Bobby Timmons.

Stefan, this is delightful and made so well. A pleasure to hear you play and sing, and nice voice. The arrangement is creative, enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.

I listened to other pieces too and liked All I want for Christmas and Someone to watch over me. Beautiful! I have an old LP with Linda Ronstadt singing.  Linda's vocals with Nelson Riddle's arrangement is pure perfection. As your playing too is enjoyable.

I saw you came on-board 2013 - so did I

Thank you! Happy that you like it... Of course I've checked all the cover version out there, also Linda Ronstadt's which is guitar driven. I can sing but I'm not a singer, just felt the need to give it a shot in this one...
