J. S. Bach: St. Matthew Passion, BWV 244 - Part Two: No. 54 Choral: "O Haupt voll Blut und Wunden"
Classical Music: Easter
O Haupt voll Blut und Wunden
I have the chorale in three parts with different registrations:
1) First a slow calm pensive intro
2) The second part with a registration that is sorrowful and describes the suffering
3) The third part has a, might be, unpleasant registration to describe the sorrow and crying at the cross, and the last notes, 10 seconds, describe the last cry from the cross….the painful death.
There is something very human in the St. Matthew Passion. It is about emotions that you can empathize with. Then it must be because the music is simply so brilliant. The drama is almost physically present. - When you listen - Try to remember what I'm trying to achieve with the registrations (music affects us so differently)
I don’t know about other people, but Organteq 2 have sooo many possibilities with the sound - you have to take some risks and try something that you generally don't do. If Organteq ”dare/challenge" you to do it, "he" is testing you - encouraging you to take a step that you are hesitant about
All the best, everyone
