Topic: Forest Edge by Lawrence Lougheed

Forest Edge is a solo piano improvisation in the neoclassical modern music style. The piano used is Pianoteq (C. Bechstein DG Sweet layered with C. Bechstein DG Cinematic. I do find that layering pianos is very effective and produces a warmer and more authentic sound. Please enjoy :-)

Thank you Lawrence for sharing this music.
Vey nice and soft sound. I’m glad to hear that you are layering sounds. A possibility in Pianoteq that I think people don’t use much, at least I can’t find much in Recordings. I have ”periods”  when I’m experimenting and trying new sounds. Have used layering every now and then.

Interesting this ”Neoclassical modern” music. Don’t know much about it, have been reading some. This your music piece is well done , a cocktail of old and modern - good creativity you have. I’m a pianoteqenthusiast/music enthusiast and as such I think the music is tickling my eardrums, a bit. You have your own balance and structure in the music.
Well done.
Keep going!

Best wishes,

Stig

Thanks so much for your kind remarks. I really appreciate it. Another interesting option for layering is an acoustic piano with an electric piano :-) I have plans for that, also.
