I don't particularly like Rap, but thought I'd challenge myself to get the computer to do some - needs a lotta, lotta work !!!

Re: To Embark Upon One's Greatest Spark II

Stage III

Although I didn't present (m)any alternatives, I'm going with the RAP... (I hope to learn something!)

What's now starting to change
- Change of words to last choir chorus
- Hopefully a better RAP section
- Subtle changes to tempo transitions

Re: To Embark Upon One's Greatest Spark II

Musings:

Choir
=====
We are powerful,
When we're wonderful,
Helping others plentifully.

We are loveable.
When we're comfortable,
Helping others punctually!

RAP Artist
=========
Hey! Reach out; Shout out,
There's no doubt; We can help out

Just say it; Don't sweat it,
We'll help; We'll pay it

Stop delaying; Keep going; Keep praying!

Stage IV

Final upload on this small choral ditty...

What's changed
- Rapper set into the same reverb space as the organ and choir
- Drums set into the same reverb space also
- Rapper also sings last refrain
- Rapper's intonation changed to be less annoying

This ditty is particular... But really well orchestrated, really very pleasant to listen to.

particolare = peculiar / strange / unusual / bizarre (in this context)

Yes, it is peculiar mixing choir, organ and rapper - but that was the fun of making it. I don't like rap music, never listen to it and thought I'd challenge myself to compose something akin to it.

Thanks for commenting; It's truly appreciated!

That's amazing. Thanks for sharing.

How did you create that choir and the rapper voice? Is it an AI tool? I think it might be of interest to many viewers of this thread. Perhaps you mentioned it in a previous thread.. sorry if I missed it.

I have been following your journey although haven't been commenting all the time. Nice reading ...drums set into same reverb. I remember I have somewhere mentioned something similar regarding piano sound.

Now, this is your best work to date. Bravo! Like it much.

Best wishes,

Stig

Thanks for expressing your appreciation Niclas.

In answer to your questions...

I used Yamaha's Vocaloid 6 for the choir combined with Waves' Audio plugin, Waves Harmony to thicken each of the four parts. The rapper is a voicebank from Dreamtonics called Ritchy and I used their Synthesizer V software to make him both rap and sing.

Both Vocaloid and Synthesizer V use AI to suggest realistic settings for the vocals which can be over-ridden for artistic considerations.

Being a British English speaker, I tend to tweak the suggested 'tuning' to my taste. In the above example, I left Ritchy to sound Bronx American for the contrast with the Choir.

It's all great fun!
