Topic: Händel: March from opera Scipio (Organteq 2)

March from Händel’s opera Scipio, 1725.

Is known for being played at London Metropolitan police passing out ceremonies.
The march is fairly simple but in my opinion it is nice music and I made my version of it using Organteq 2 and preset A Clockwork Organ which I modified with different stops to get my ”Trumpet sound” (right hand) and (left hand) different manual/track stops from preset Romantic Church - Crescendo, together with a French horn. In middle section also a bit of a choir. In middle section I created a sound for melody like an old instrument from about 200 BC. (in my imagination).

Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus (236/235–c.183 BC) was a Roman general and statesman who was one of the main architects of Rome's victory against Carthage in the Second Punic War. Often regarded as one of the greatest military commanders and strategists of all time, his greatest military achievement was the defeat of Hannibal at the Battle of Zama in 202 BC.

Dear Stig,
Your performance of this piece is truly interesting and the historical framework you provided us with the character Scipione is very intriguing.
I really liked your trumpets and how you stripped down the orchestration.
Thanks for sharing it!
