Topic: Getting the Right Piano Sound - Spin Off

I have been looking at altering PianoTeq's NY Steinway offering to better suit a given vocal timbre...

Now I'm going to look at 'harmonising' vocal timbre, piano to musical genre...

Disclaimer: I know next to nothing about singing, I'm not a singer though I can hold the tune (ie sing in key). So, this will be a real voyage of discovery and I'm sure I'm going to get it wrong along the way - feel free to critique.

The initial voices to try:

  1. Akito (Japanese)

  2. Allen (English)

  3. Asahi (Japanese)

  4. Brian (English)

  5. Lucas (English)

  6. Matthew (Engish)

  7. Naoki (Japanese)

  8. Taku (Japanese)

And here is what they sound like accompanied by Steinway B Wide (Modified: Effects / Microphone):

Enjoy!

A Gentle lilting Waltz...Featuring The All-New and Wished For... ACCORDIONTEQ !

Is this Organteq in the background or (Accordionteq?)…. If so, which stops used, which organ, how modified. Would be nice to hear it with a bit more volume…
It sounds really good!

Best wishes,

Stig

Oh Stig,

This is a real accordion and no, Modartt haven't released AccordionTeq... and if they did, I doubt I'd be asked to beta test it, let alone release it on one of my silly postings!!!

This was a disaster and you couldn't really hear the piano !!!

So without stupid drums, etc - here's a clearer delve into piano, musical genre and synth voice setting - after all that's what this spin-off thread is supposed to be about! I just got side tracked into some awful direction.

Enjoy!

Good work DEZ! Disaster is now a gem  I like that it is like the singer is a bit away from me, on the stage, and the piano might be between me and the singer but below in front of the stage. I think you understand what i mean. Anyway this is how I experience, feel, it. Thank you.

Best wishes,

Stig
