Topic: How to create multiple outputs from pianoteq in Pro tools

Hi!

Does anybody know how to create multiple outputs from an instrument track in pro tools using Pianoteq 8? I want to be able to route these outputs to different audio or aux tracks in PT. I see five different outputs in Pianoteq but I haven't found a way to route these to different outputs in PT. I have found videos on how to do this for Kontakt, EZ drummer, BFD3 etc but not for Pianoteq.

Thanks!
Hakan

I don't know Pro Tools, but if all else fails you should be able to just manually create the additional audio tracks and assign their Inputs to the relevant virtual outputs of the synth. In Sonar it's simply a matter of checking the 'All Outputs - Mono' or 'All Ouputs - Stereo' option in the dialogue for inserting a soft synth.

Thanks! I realized that if I open pianoteq in rosetta mode I can create audio tracks in PT and choose as inputs three aux inputs from the plugin. But they are mono so they only cover the last three  microphones in pianoteq. The first two have to be routed directly from the instrument track with the pianoteq plugin.

FWIW, Sonar treats all VSTi outputs as stereo pairs that can be selected as such for input to a stereo track or as separate inputs to mono tracks. Mono outputs like Ouput 5 in Pianoteq are presented the same way, but the "stereo" option just gives you a dual mono track.

Sonar also has the capability of making an Instrument track for each output/pair in the case of multitimbral instruments or drums so each output can have its own MIDI source (including controller automation, vel/time offset,  MFX, etc.) in the same track.

I would think Pro Tools would have a similar implementation for AAX plugins without having to resort to Rosetta mode...?

Rosetta is fine
