Topic: New video Bach Fugue n 8 in E-Flat minor BWV 853 from WTC I

Dear Friend,

I see the top of the WTC I mountain in the distance, the road is long and winding but everywhere covered with small gems that repay the effort of this journey.
I hope I can reach my goal and that you like today's video!

The fugue (à 3) is possessed of the same earnest mood, but it is milder, softer, and refrains from all sharply marked rhythm or bustling figures, pursuing its course from beginning to end in quiet crotchet and quaver movement.
This fugue is  noble, deeply pensive , breathing so fully the spirit of the tonality. The theme was not shaped in order to allow of many combinations; rather did the mystic character of the key compel the master
to display the fullest wealth of his art; and thus the workmanship
became unusually profound. As a matter of fact the Eb- minor fugue became, as we are about to show in detail, a wonder-work of contrapuntal art.

Dear  Pianoteq Friends ! I wish you and your family a Fantastic New Year !

My actual setting is:

Played on Yamaha P125 piano stage                                          Video Recording Samsung Galaxy A54.

Wonderful!

Beautifully interpreted in a modern setting, with a delicate treatment of the recurring theme. Each voice seamlessly enters the intricate weave of contrapuntal threads.

Bach's fugues can seem dry when viewed on the page, but your performance reveals their intricate delights more and more as you progress through your monumental journey of discovery. Keep up the fantastic work!

I asked CoPilot to translate to Italian...

Meraviglioso!

Top performance! You know how to play Bach, not too fast, forward and highlighting the counterpoint of the fugue. Bach is played best when all the voices come out clearly like in this rendition.

Thank you so much Carmelo (have been in very bad condition 10 days, Corona, couldn’t do anything, but now I’m back again)

When you have all these pieces in a post, I think people could ask - Where to find information about concerts?
You are very good now.

Best wishes,

Stig

Thank you very much Stig for the compliments and advice! I'm really happy that you liked my video but above all that you recovered your health after Corona. Tomorrow I will start with a post to collect all the videos of this little WTC 1 Bach project in a single post, as you suggested some time ago. So those interested can listen to them separately and find them easily.

Thank you again and wish you a very Happy New Year!

Carmelo
