Topic: Selling PianoTeq7 Standard

200€

Selling it with the Steinway D, C Bechstein and Harps included.

I take care of the transfer fee of course, so I'll the sale at 200€ and see if anyone is interested. I am not sure how much is the fee to transfer the license but it's still something of an hit.

It's very very new licence. I just jumped into it too early and some of the sound still doesnt satisfy me.

Now that's an honest salesman!

I sense much confusion in you Byron heart!
Soon we will turn you to the Modartt side!

I recommend getting to know the settings before jumping ship. Also trying third party reverbs.

Much of your objections perhaps could be sorted with EQ adjustments and other reverbs. To me much of getting virtual instruments to sound their best (to my ears anyway)  is in the art of  masking, papering over the cracks. Reverb settings and careful use of EQ can hide a lot of deficiencies, as make up on an imperfect face. Hell that stuff is done on top of real piano recordings in good rooms.

If you really do intend to leave good luck with the sale.
It's been a while since there's been a Pianoteq update, or new pack. I don't think you can press them for update information - even work in progress.

I love the software honestly, but not the sound. I doubt I will be satisfied with Samples either, but it's the fakeness of the attack in the pianoteq sound I can't really live with. I've done quite a bit of messing around and can't quite get rid of it so I think I should leave it for now and come back when and if a new version of PianoTeq refines those aspects enough because it really is the best playing VST for everything else pretty much.

I prefer to comeback when that happens and lose some money in the process if I'm going to buy it again.

Thanks for the words!

If someone buys it they will still be eligible for updates just as if they bought it from Modartt.

Indeed.
Perhaps I have confused you?

I didn't imply otherwise. I was only talking about the lack of information about developments, or even hints of any work in progress from Modartt. I was responding to this:

No, my comment was separate, in response to Byron saying it was a new license. Apologies if it seemed to be contradicting what you wrote. Your comments were very thoughtful.

Re: Selling PianoTeq7 Standard

No need to apologise Barbara, I think I know what's happened here.

Warning, potential "mansplaining" here (I dislike the abuse of that already silly term - are we supposed to assume everyone always has perfect knowledge of every basic  thing these days online?) :

I'm guessing you are posting from a smartphone?
I say this because you cannot see a way to quickly post without the default of quoting in regular vertical mode - at least on my screen - other bigger higher resolution screens might be different?

Put your phone in horizontal (on its side - mansplaining or expedient clarity?) mode you can see more pixels in the horizontal bar. Scroll to the bottom look to the right. You will see the option to reply there. With this option you won't have a quote of the previous person, just a blank window to fill.

FWIW for the most part I think the default quoting is actually a good idea.

Thanks. I'm actually posting on a tablet, though I sometimes post on my lapt. Phones are too small for me to use on the Forum!

Hi again Barbara,
No worries. You have spliced your reply together with my reply.

Anyway, I will repost the original poster's 1st comment as we are monopolising his thread with off-topic material.

I'm afraid my choice for those harps will make this sell difficult. I was going to invest in a good pair of headphones or monitors with the money I made back from this. Hopefully someone shows interest sooner then later.

Would be cool if Modartt would let me revert those Harp choice to help sell it.

Since the BlackFriday sale is coming I'm willing to put it at 175€.

Re: Selling PianoTeq7 Standard

Bumping it up. I have still one week to change the intruments pack I chose, so anyone who buys this licence in that period will be able to chose to his preference. Be fast though.

175 Euros then and there is no downside to not being able to chose your instruments.

I am looking for an vst for my kid who learns piano. I am offering you 160 euro.

Re: Selling PianoTeq7 Standard

Anybody knows how is the payment for such an license transfer done ? I seen on other forums that paypal with buyer protection  is used but in this case the seller does not know how it works.

I'll search a bit around to see what I can find if no one helps.

I have never sold anything with paypal but i think there should be a page in your paypal account where you say that you sell something and to who you are selling.

The seller has to arrange the license transfer with Modartt. You pay the seller via Paypal. To do this, you both need PayPal accounts. PayPal has nothing to do with the sale. ...just the money transfer. The seller needs to communicate with Modartt about how to carry out the license trsnsfer. Nic Fogwall will help him.

It's arranged. Thanks.

Soooo happy that this worked out for you.  I also bought my license used, and it was a great experience.  I later upgraded to the Studio edition because I love so many of the instruments.  Keep in mind that it you want to upgrade later, Modartt will credit you for everything you spent, even though you bought it from another customer.  It's a wonderful company.

Re: Selling PianoTeq7 Standard

Good to know, thank you !
