Topic: 12 Miniatures No 10 (Seems more modern than from time 1913)

Allegro moderato (Twelve Miniatures, No. 10)  dates from 1913.

Henry Marcellus Higgs (1854-1929)

H. M. Higgs worked with several music publishers and published a fairly large output of organ music.

The tenth piece, "Allegro moderato" is in the key of D major, and written in 4/4 time. It has an appeal to it in terms of harmonic and melodic interest, and seems more "modern" in some of the tonalities.

The registrations can be seen in the video. I like this music. Sounds lively and fresh…

Life is short and the older I get, the more I feel it. People lose their capacity to walk, run, travel, think, and experience life.
I realise now how important it is to use the time I have. So, spreading joy is important, to encourage people, also in this forum. Try to enjoy this piece that sounds more modern than from 1913
