Topic: My Erard is back!

Some of you know that the 1922 Erard is my best friend and my favorite piano as well. In the last few months it's become less warm, with some irritation to my ears, even harsh.

Yesterday I did a complete uninstall, saving my Presets Folder before doing it. I deleted all files that came up with a search using Modartt and Pianoteq as search words. Downloaded Pianoteq again, then reinstalled, made a few tweaks to the touch curve.

Well, it did the trick, I'm happy to say. The sound is even better and better than I could have hoped for. I don't hear those kind of high pitched buzzing sounds. The Erard now has its lovely warm tone again. It's like my best friend has returned and is his old self once again.

Just wanted to share my news.

Thanks!

Robert

Re: My Erard is back!

It sounds like you had probably saved modifications to the factory presets themselves. Anyway glad you've got your sound back with a reset.

Hi Key Fumbler.

Thank you for the kind wishes. That must be what happened with the complete reinstall, resetting all the calculations under the hood. But whatever it did, I'm happy for it!

I tried just a regular reinstall and that didn't help. But by removing all the files it did. Even had to reactivate my license.

My best regards,
Robert

Thank you, Chris. So kind of you to say. I appreciate it.

By the way, I'm using one of your velocity curves on my VPC1. Thank you for it!
