Topic: Song (Pianoteq)

another tune from the real book.  this tune is one of the truly obscure tunes in the book.  i don't think i've ever heard a professional recording of it anywhere (and i didn't have luck finding one), although at least one other amateur player has it up on youtube.  Stuart Balcomb did go on to a very successful career in the music industry, though, as a composer/arranger/copyist.  this tune has some very interesting moments in it ... the progression is a lot of fun to play.

Re: Song (Pianoteq)

Nice piano sound, budo. I like it, a bit of ”soft sound” in it (at least with my headphones.)

”one of the truly obscure tunes”
Well,  interesting piece, and your excellent playing with many different sections with rhythmic short motifs here and there - wow! Nice high tones at 1,45     Interesting nice contrast when going down 1,56 - 2,00
nice rhythn change 2,26- 2,30 and other places….the lively section 3,08 - 3,20 love it,  and the rhythmic ending is also worth mentioning, 3,48 - 4,00

There is something special, changes, happening in your playing in this music all the time. This makes it easy to listen. Well done budo!
Unusual obscure piece, well I liked it a lot and would love to listen to one more. (Some pieces of Melartin was obscure too).

Obscure music (they say obscure music occasionally requires a significant effort to listen to all the way through…)  well, for some people Mozart is obscure music

Can’t stop saying - You always amaze me with your music/playing and impressive output.
Thank you budo.

My best,

Stig
