Topic: Mimic Alicia's keys sound

Hi,

Has anyone ever attempted to mimic the sound of Alicia's keys sampled piano sound? It has two settings for mike positioning and I am only interested in the "artist" position sound.

YC5 is probably the best choice here as it's character is much like the sampled piano but the problem is with mike placements. Whatever I try I just cant get that "close up" mike placement sound. Maybe someone else here has done this or could go for it and achieve better results?

I did back 5 years ago with Pianoteq 6.

Thanks for sharing. I tried them all out and they sound fine, however still are not similar enough.

I think the problem is with the whole system that simulates mic placement, theres just not enough parameters, as it seems i tried everything at this point.

It is certainly frustrating to not be able to produce what you are after.  Have you tried experimenting with the "Stereophonic" and "Binaural" output settings?
