Topic: My Variations, C.M. Bellman’s song Noah

My variations on Carl Michael Bellman’s song Noah (Gubben Noak,Swedish). Bellman got idea from Noah in the Bible (Bible Genesis 9:20 Noah a man of soil…)

Carl Michael Bellman, 4 February 1740 – 11 February 1795 was a Swedish songwriter, composer, musician, poet and entertainer. Bellman's songs continue to be performed and recorded by musicians from Scandinavia and in other languages, including English, French, German, Italian and Russian. His song Gubben Noak ( Noah) is known by heart by many Swedes, has been compared to Shakespeare, Beethoven, Mozart...........

Sorry, this is not about recording, but can someone explain, why I sometimes manage to get a smiley and sometimes only a half circle and dots, as in my upload above (Noah got drunk, so that’s why I end the piece as I do……:)   ?

Best wishes,
Stig

Dots confusion When you do ...:) you get ...:) but when you leave a space before the smiley you get .. . Remarkably, the original smiley :-) doesn't render as a smiley, only ":)". Anyway, Preview is your friend :-)

Re: My Variations, C.M. Bellman’s song Noah

another great job.  i really liked all the crazy key changes at the end, lots of fun.  and your ability to throw in contrapuntal lines gets better every time and would be the envy of many jazz players

Thank you budo, for your encouragement and nice comment. I'll do another one, maybe, on Fur Elise ..... maybe ….
Stay tuned

Best wishes,
