Topic: Problem with default velocity being way off on ubuntu reaper

So this only appears to happen with pianoteq 7 stage and not other instruments like surge by default no matter how hard i press the key physically it will always be only max 20 velocity i can set the velocity curve by moving the node up higher and by over all adjusting but then the quiet or soft notes are lost. I am currently using a studiologic sl88 studio keyboard with reaper latest build native on ubuntu with pipewire tbh it's unusable in it's current state for me any help with this? has to be some setting or something? anyway thanks for any and all help with this.

I'm using Reaper on Ubuntu and have never had any problems like this.  Could it be a problem with your keyboard or midi/usb cable?

Re: Problem with default velocity being way off on ubuntu reaper

Can you run Pianoteq standalone using Alsa interface, i.e. don't use pipewire?   Alsa is the underlying driver that pipewire is using.  Use the Option-Midi menu in Pianoteq to see the midi events.   Are you using a midi interface or USB midi?    It is very strange that other virtual instruments (you mention surge) get the correct midi values.
