Topic: I Remember Clifford and Indian Lady (Pianoteq)

two more tracks from the Real Book.  the first, I Remember Clifford, is a beautiful ballad dedicated to the jazz trumpeter Clifford Brown, who died tragically in a car accident in his 20s.  this song has been recorded many many times by all the greats.

the second, Indian Lady, is rather more obscure.  i've actually never heard a recording of this myself, just tried to put something together from the lead sheet.

I remember Clifford

This was just beautiful. I feel you play with so much soul in this…I don’t remember Clifford - but I remember my son, brings some tears to my eyes again. Such a beautiful interpretation all the way to the end, elegance, beauty.
One of the most beautiful pieces I have heard in a long time. Thanks budo!
You deserve so many more listeners…

Indian Lady

Well, a big contrast to clifford, but - safe budo quality
Thanks budo!

Best wishes,

Stig

Edit, and a beautiful Pianoteq sound

Re: I Remember Clifford and Indian Lady (Pianoteq)

thank you so much for your comments.  i agree that this is a beautiful ballad, which is probably why it gets performed so much.  Keith Jarrett in particular has given some amazing interpretations of it:

it always makes me feel emotional too.  it makes me think of all the important people in my life who've been taken away ...
